Slannesh Daemonettes Commission Done!

S'up gang,

After getting the colour scheme sorted for the Daemonettes they were pretty easy to get done as a batch of 9 over the course of two evenings. The bases are deliberately unpainted as the client want to match them up to his existing collection. Its been a real treat to paint something a little different than the usual and I was half tempted to start a Slannesh army I will admit!

I have a squad of horrors to do for the same client and I've got free reign with them so don't expect them to be pink... But garish, oh yes very lurid and garish...

Peace out,

Rob

  1. They're cool. I don't envy you doing commission painting. I've done the occassional freelance design job and it's always been a nightmare and I'd get stressed as the deadline approached. Even without a client I can also be stressed with my own hobby stuff, self doubt and confusion about what to do next I can't imagine having someone elses miniatures to deal with on top of that. Good luck with it though.

    1. It has been interesting working on someone else miniatures, its been good to have free reign which helps. I'm not sure how sustainable this will be but I think I should definitely be able to take odd jobs on to just tick over a hobby fund. I don't think I fret as much as others over schemes mind you, but then I live in awe of a lot of your work mate!

  2. Hey Rob,
Awesome models! Really looking forward to the horrors and how you will paint them.

Are you still looking for more Commision work? Got a bunch of different, unpainted armies lying around. :-P
Let me know, if you've got any preferences on what to do. Also what timescale you plan and what you're asking for your service. ;-)

    Cheers,
    Hendrik

    1. Hey Hendrik! I'm still casting around for things to paint, difficult to get a timescale without a job size, but if you send me an email on 30kplus40k@gmail.com we can chat it through :)

  3. Looking nice! I've been doing a lot of work on Slaanesh daemons lately myself as my group has started getting into AoS, and just getting my Daemons up to scratch lets me get in without buying anything new.

    1. Funny you should mention that me and a gaming buddy have recently put in for small AoS forces each, I think the General's handbook as really put impetus on some people. I look forward to seeing your Slannesh daemons, so much khorne normally!

    1. Thanks mate :) I was trying to go for a more unearthly feel rather than vibrant skin.
