Eversor Assassin Complete!

Hi Gang,

Motoring on with as much commission work as I can so that its cleared and I can put some more time into my own projects as well as take on more work as the cash really helps! The Eversor took some time to tackle after I did the base relatively quickly. I looked over the model several times and I found the detail and openness of the miniature quite daunting to be honest; not a lot of places to gloss over mistakes so I wanted to be extra careful with it to make sure that there wasn't anything I did half cocked.

I'm generally not one to blow my own trumpet but I'm damn pleased with how he turned out.

And the two completed Assassins so far:

Peace out,

Rob

  1. How did you do the metalwork on the base. Rusty metal is always a bit hit and miss with me. Sometimes I think I get it just right, others it so far off the mark but this looks pretty cool. Here you say its just Typhus Corrosion followed by Ryza Rust...

    1. Hahaha no no, nothing like that. When I do rusty I think the base metal colour is important to look dull and worn too which is worthy of note. Here it was a drybrush of dark reaper over black and then liberal sponge weathering of leadbelcher on top followed by a black wash. The rust is then rhino hide, followed by some lighter brown that escapes me, then a wash of sepia on top. Then I use a MIG pigment called Old rust which is powdered on, then I use white spirit or paint thinner to drag it out into rust patches, before a final dry brush with ryza rust very lightly, just building it up till happy.

I did use typhus corrosion for the pipe ooze though :)

  2. Superb job Rob, really excellent. Love the combat claws and the and the red eyes. Awesome gunk on the pipes oozing out of the pipes.

    1. They are a pleasure to look at once done, but awful lot of detail which is a bit imposing to get going on! Luckily my brief was to be similar to the official scheme so I had something to go off which helped a lot.
