A blog dedicated to the Grim Dark universe from the 31st to the 41st Millenium
Wish I were there too! This looks immense, the spot colours work beautifully!
It was great fun, we should organise either a trip to mike or meet in the middle(ish sorry mike!) in nottingham
haha, nottingham sounds good to me, it's 45 mins away!
Damn that looks good!
Thanks man, need to do a few bits and bobs but these guys are coming along, just 3 more to do! Only own one though...
Looks really great man, How do you get that blue/black steel look?Jack
Thanks Red :) Its abaddon black, sponged with leadbelcher, washed with nuln oil sponged with runebreaker (I think) then sponged/gentle dry brush with dark reaper, if its too light at that point I give it a very very thin wash of nuln oil again.Hope that helps!
She's a beauty!
Thanks Gungrave :)
That looks the business Rob.
Its pretty damn good on the table too! I thought new painted mini syndrome would claim it but it lasted 4 full turns and blew the sons of horus to shit :P
Ooh, shiny! Almost looks like it's made of gems or something.
Cannot unsee! Its actually a little too shiny now that I have had time to look at it, I want to give it some gentle washes to dull it down ever so slightly.
@()#%&*@)&( YES! DESTROY ALL THE THINGS! Amazing awesomeness. I have to make up more words!
Haha thanks Greg!! I'd love to come stateside some time (possible to work fingers crossed) and show you it first hand :)
Glorious. The OSL in the contrasting green is brilliant!
Colour theory has changed how I paint so much! My Colour choices are just a hell of a lot better now. Thanks dude :)
