GORE! Completed Arlatax Battle Automata

Hey gang,

So after some fun with a brush and blowing my lungs out, I present to you the finished, infamous, and decidedly blood splattered Arlatax! I should be playing this chap for the first time on Friday so I'm looking forward to seeing how he does :)

Peace out,

Rob

    1. Coming back for seconds, showing my girlfriend how well stuff can be painted compared to my level, I only now noticed the paint chipping and fractured surfaces. Totally awesome!

  2. Is it actually a named character?
    Looks fairly brutal, well done.

    1. Nope, its just an automata that they haven't released a model for yet, but its based off the same chassis as the Domitar. It was in book 6 retribution I believe rules wise..

      Thanks Rory :)

  3. Looks like he's been getting some work done. Very impressive. Wouldn't want to see that coming at me across a battlefield.

Also, "Arlatax" always makes me think of the wizard from the Nodwick comics ;)

Well I'll never look at this chap the same way!

  5. Ooh gore! I love gore, and great job, go home clean miniatures! If you want to save your lungs, you can pass fast a finger on the tip of a brush with the colour(more or less like use a lighter, but with your index, if it is the correct name), and splash gore where you want!

    1. I've tried the old finger flick technique and I just can get it right, I just end up coating my fat fingers in paint! Lungs will have to suffer for now :P

  6. Nice work, I love the gore spatter! I tend to go for thicker accumulations when I go gory, but this looks equally effective!
