8th Edition Deathguard - Lord of Contagion and Friends!

Hey all,

Continuing my showcase of the brilliant new Deathguard miniatures, today I have the special characters from the Dark Millennium box as well as the disgustingly good nurgle drone that comes in the box as well. The Lord of Contagion ranks up there with my all time favourite miniatures to paint, seriously, it is a wonderful joy to put paint to this model. It has such a fantastic bulk to it and the eyeless horned face is really quite creepy!

The little Nurgling hanging off the Noxious Blightbringer is a wonderful little thing, it really feeds in to that playful pustulence that is Nurgle. Generally speaking I would say that these are pretty easy models to paint once fully built, certainly compared to other starter set marines which really required sub assembly as a focus.

Just in case anyone is wondering, I have been asked to leave the bases bare for the models so that their owner can finish them off, I'm not just being idle ;)

Peace out,

Rob

  3. Those are looking amazing!

I'm also impressed by the design on the Drone. That's some good work by the designer to get it balanced on a relatively small support like that.
