Painting Primaris Marines - Mark II Paint Scheme

Hey'all,

Thanks to everyone who gave feedback yesterday on the orange and blue Primaris paint scheme. I am very appreciative of the help to improve my schemes (bit evil sounding there) and techniques :) With that in mind I present to you Mark II of the paint scheme! I am still lacking marking for squad, rank and chapter as well as battle damage but that will all come soon enough!

Damn the cat hair that wheedled its way into the last few pictures! Our cat has thick hair and is shedding currently, the cute furry little bugger!

Peace out,

Rob

  1. Looking much better! The grey is less tin toy-ish than the blue, and your reds are always brilliant. Do you have a chapter icon in mind then?

  2. There was me thinking your beard had got out of hand! ;)

Much better mate, I think the grey would happily cope with being lighter too if the mood took you, though it doesn't need it.

C'mon pal, what background you got? Spill the beans!

  4. Looks great dude, I think the grey is a much better complement for the main armour colour, will look very striking on the table I'm sure, top work :)

  5. Concur with the above about the switch to Grey - much better complement to the orange. I'm in the throes of the same painting issues as I'm trying to develop a new chapter scheme for the Primaris models I have inbound. Are you going with custom print decals or free-handing your chapter markings?

  7. Grey is a much nicer choice. The blue did look a bit like a football team! :)

  12. hey man! Hope you're doing well... I know this is a very old post, but would you share your paint recipe for these orange marines? I was thinking of doing my kill team in orange and I'd love to hear how you got this look! Thanks!
