This is so much more detailed than most of the faces on 40K figs that it actually throws me off a little. Also, I think they sculpted his mouth a bit too far open. That's all on the sculpt, tho. You've done an amazing job with that sculpt.
Yeah, absolutely agree Rory, normally I wouldn't model them as such myself, but I wanted to put Loken into some painting competitions and I feel the face adds to that.
He looks great to me. I wish I could knock something like this out in a day!
ReplyDeleteThanks :) to be fair, I have been planning the scheme and paints in my head for the best part of a fortnight!
DeleteStellar job Rob. You may hate painting faces but you did a cracking job on this one. Keep it up :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Naf :) I don't know how you paint clean so much, its bloody hard!
DeleteHope you think he looks as good as I do!
ReplyDeleteIt depends really how good do you look?
Oh Bill, I look gooooood :P

ReplyDeleteWhat has been seen cannot be unseen! I just imagine him trying to eat a massive burger now :P
DeleteThanks man :) Loken is probably my best shot at a golden demon pin out of my current models!
Awesome work, man! Really dig how he turned out!
ReplyDeleteThanks as always Mordy :)
DeleteRob he looks brilliant - even more so as you finished him in such a short time!
ReplyDeleteFace and model look well. Not a fan of marines without helmets myself but you did a nice job.

DeleteBeautiful work Rob. The psychotic fury of betrayal is all over that face! Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteBetter than when he was black and armless anyway!
