Dark Angels - The Army so Far

Hi again peoples of the intertubes,

Today I thought I would just show you my done pile for the Dark Angels so far. I've currently painted and based on 32mm bases 2 x 5 man tactical squads, 2 x Librarians and my Company Master Dragutin. These guys look pretty neat assembled together and I'm looking forward to having more of them and using them on the tabletops.

What do you guys think of their look as a force so far?

And I still have a massive pile of greenwing to do as well as having a fairly sized force of Ravenwing that I haven't even looked at properly yet, And in addition that there is this 30k Dark Angels project which has jumped up out of nowhere... so the First Legion are here to stay I think...

Peace out,

Rob

  1. Looking good; I particularly like the darker scheme you have used. I am not usually a fan of the red weapons for Dark Angels, but you have made it work. Thanks for sharing ;-)

    1. Thanks Marc, I'm really pleased with the darker scheme as well, I feel I got the little green highlights down pretty well after all the feedback from you guys :) Looking forward to trying my hand at a heresy era scheme though!

  2. After my last game I truly believe this 32mm basing is utter nonsense. I was of the impression that GW had huge amounts of proto-human love for Power Armour but I find them decidedly ropey and have ironically increased my love for nids. I though I was going to enjoy the hihg saves, better shooting and long range firepower but I just seem to end up in combat where I'm hopelessly outmatched and just end up dieing thanks to the few Space Marines I can afford eventually falling to weight of numbers, BOO!

  3. Looking good! The basing in particular really works well when you've got a bunch of them together like this.

    1. Thanks dude, I think the fact I actually sat down and planned the bases compared to previous armies where it was sort of secondary has really helped
