Ravenwing To Paint Pile

Good Afternoon,

So in January I am planning on taking a long isolated weekend and painting up all my Ravenwing models that I currently own. This isn't a lot, but I like the idea of getting them all painted in one big go and having an actual tiny force come out at the end.

Below is the current state of all the models, basically as I received them off ebay. I need to do a few bits of clean up and spray them white on the top as I will be attempting my zenithal wash painting on them to achieve a very muted black effect.

Pleasingly there was one more bike than I had remembered! As you can see in the top picture Sammael is all bagged up an unbuilt at the moment but I should get to him pretty soon hopefully.

All the riders and extra gubbins for the bikes and Dark Talon have been bagged up and undercoated separately which is awesome! And should make painting these guys a breeze compared to my bike mounted Librarian!

I am currently in very delicate negotiations with the missus regarding when I can have my 4 day hobby weekend and what restaurant I will have to take her too because she's a bit miffed ;)

Peace out,

Rob

  1. Haha, jealous! Though 4 days to paint 7 bikes is pushing it a bit - i seem to remember that space marine bikes take at least 17 hours each... ;)

    1. You are not the master motivator Mr Thrower! I feel like I have to do this now, an act of solidarity with your bikish woes :P

  2. A hobby weekend. Damn I remember being able to do those once upon a time, before real life stepped in :D. Go for it, if you can get all of them done that would be a good achievement and a big addition to your DA detachment too.

    1. I am still avoiding real life avidly,,, but it looms ominously on the horizon! Its easy to hide whilst working in a university though, there are no adult academics I swear blind!
