After some suggestions on google+ I decided to add some more specific Dark Angel patterns on my Terminators so I decided to add the red and yellow check pattern from their pre-heresy scheme as shown in the picture above. I decided on the right pauldron would be best and set to work.
I found this incredibly difficult and as such am damn pleased with my results!
Thoughts?
Peace out,
Rob
I think you have done an excellent job; that must have been balls hard to paint on a curved surface. I love the old school vibe to it, though I am beginning to fear that people are out-old-schooling me :-)
ReplyDeleteHaha I am not old enough to out-old-school you, you codger ;) glad you like them!
DeleteMate that looks stunning! I thought my Dark Eldar stuff was difficult enough but at least they didn't need highlighting, I can see here that you've highlighted each diamond, as well as getting the pattern itself spot on and that's top, top work!
ReplyDeleteThanks dude! Oddly enough its the dark city and all the checks on their that helped me really get this down! Praise to the true kin! (or at least their clown cousins...)
DeleteDamn, dude. That is very impressive. I've got enough trouble just getting the 5th Company quartered design on the kneepads of my DA. And yeah, really gets back to that old-school vibe.
ReplyDeleteThis has made me want to add squared markings on my 40k squads as well, but I'm not sure how much I can take :P
DeleteI can only echo what the others have said, really great stuff man. I know how hard those f@@king patterns can be so I applaud your efforts, they have turned out really well :)
ReplyDeletePraise from the master of clowns! Hallelujah! Thanks Naff :)
